Lively Panel Discusses Ways to "Unstick" Capital Markets

Director Brian Cohen recently led a lively and important discussion at Commercial Observer's 2023 Spring Finance Forum with a panel of private lenders. The participants discussed the state of the capital markets, stressing the need for all players to work together to help "unstick" currently "overleveraged" markets.

Despite the significant involvement of private lenders in the capital markets, the panelists agreed that large commercial banks are critical to helping restore confidence and bring transaction volume back to healthy levels. The panelists also made it clear that in order to get things moving again, participants will need to "reset expectations" and be willing to work cooperatively together.
